If that sounds a bit fucking insane well welcome to Gnomon. Now a shark seems to have infected his mind, a meme or a metaphor or a sub-conscious trigger that’s allowing Constantine to rake in the moolah by providing him with hints on when to sell and when to buy on the stock-market. As I note above Constantine survived a shark attack. Constantine’s story – the name of our wealthy banker – is a cross between The Big Short and the Wolf of Wall Street. 5/27/2023 0 Comments Breaking the diabetes codeVirta was the first time I had ever heard of diabetes reversal. Now, I had heard about other programs like Naturally Slim that focused on portion control and why I was eating, but I would still have diabetes and require meds. That’s when I got a message from my company about Virta. I stopped going to the gym, lost touch with my support system, and ate my anxiety from March straight through the summer of 2020. I was also going to the gym pretty regularly. Between 27 and 41, I was on two types of insulin injections, Lantus and Novolog, as well as metformin, to reduce my blood sugar. Both my sister and uncle had been on dialysis, and my uncle even had a leg amputated. My mom had lost sight in one of her eyes. I already knew that the consequences of high blood sugar were terrible. I actually had some damage in both eyes, which required several years of laser surgery. Around age 25, I started to see a floater in my right eye, which turned out to be macular degeneration. Greg before Virta (left), and after 3 months and losing 25 pounds (right)Īfter changing insurance plans, the co-pays for my oral meds got too expensive, so I just stopped taking them. 5/27/2023 0 Comments Agatha christie nileIn 1930, Christie married her second husband, the archaeologist Max Mallowan, and in the following years, she accompanied him on several digs around the Middle East, including in Egypt. It featured the eccentric Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, perhaps her best-known recurring character (although Christie is also famous for her spinster sleuth, Miss Marple). Christie was interested in reading and writing from a young age, and she published her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles in the early 1920s. In 1907, after finishing her education, Christie and her mother spent the winter in Egypt, which was then a popular tourist destination for Britons who could afford it. She was born to an upper-middle-class family in Devon, England, where she had a relatively happy childhood until her father died when she was eleven. Agatha Christie was arguably the most popular fiction writer of all time, having sold over two billion copies of her novels. 5/27/2023 0 Comments In-Between Days by Teva HarrisonTeva regularly spoke on creativity and led workshops on telling life stories, and her work has appeared in The Walrus, Granta, Quill & Quire, Huffington Post, Carte Blanche, Reader’s Digest, The Globe and Mail, and more.
